CHIPTUNING
This Modification or changing of the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is used to achieve better performance, such as a significant increase in horsepower and torque. Everything is done individually for a particular vehicle. Modern ECUs (2000 and younger) can be tuned by simply updating their software through a standard interface, such as OBDII. while older cars are alot more time consuming as the ECU chip may need changing altogether. Before the chiptuning is done, we run a car engine diagnosis to measure the initial power and torque levels, giving the opportunity to evaluate the technical condition of the engine and its components. Finally we upload the modified content to the ECU and run a new engine diagnosis to show the increase in power and torque. This process should not exceed 2 - 3 hours.
